G.W. Graham 80 Alberni District 67

This weekend G.W. Graham took the ferry to Vancouver Island to participate in the Countdown in the Playoffs Tournament hosted by Brentwood College.  Their first game on Friday morning was against the Alberni District Armada, a AAA school.  G.W. Graham started out slow and found themselves down 24-21 after the first quarter.  However, soon the Grizzlies found their stride and cruised to a 80-67 victory led by Micah Cockrill's 44 points.  Lucas Mannes, Chris Thomson, and Hank Derksen added 14, 10, and 10, respectively.  Now the Grizzlies advance to play either Shawnigan Lake or Brentwood College later tonight, two teams who will give the G.W. Graham a difficult game.
