Yes, G.W. Graham won this morning and will advance to the tournament final, but it was not without some adversity. It was a low-scoring battle on Saturday morning and the Grizzlies found themselves down 26-18 at half time thanks to stifling full-court pressure from St. Michael's.
The Grizzlies started the second half with a 9-0 run but St. Michael's did not wilt away and retook the lead until the final minutes of the game. Micah Cockrill found himself in early foul trouble but managed to stay in the game. This was fortunate for the Grizzlies as they retook the lead with about a minute to play and held on for the victory.
G.W. Graham advances to play either Spectrum or Mt. Douglas in tonight's final at 6pm at Brentwood College.
