G.W. Graham 71 MEI 57

The Grizzlies were anticipating their possible matchup with MEI for a number of weeks.  However, after dispatching North Peace early on Thursday, they could finally focus on MEI for their Thursday afternoon game at the Chilliwack Senior Tournament.  The game started with G.W. Graham opening up a 13-2 lead much to the surprise of most basketball pundits in attendance.  The first quarter ended with G.W. Graham leading 24-13 with only two Grizzlies contributing to the scoresheet (Micah Cockrill with 17 and Chris Thomson with 7).  The Eagles of MEI continued to struggle for the rest of the game and only got as close as 6 points before succumbing to the Grizzly onslaught.  Cockrill finished with 35 points and Geoffrey Slovick, probably Graham's most valuable player of the game, finished with 15 points in a solid performance from a grade 10 future star.
