Chilliwack 76 Guildford Park 67

The game started off slowly (and late, as Guildford Park's best players got lost in the buzzing metropolis of Chilliwack) but the Storm jumped out to an early lead.  The first half was a sloppy one as field goal percentage of the Storm was dismally low.  Often times, Chilliwack goes through stretches where their shot selection goes out the door and they shoot nearly anything inside the three-point line.  The Chilliwack backcourt also had a rough first half with numerous turnovers but the Storm ended the half up by six points (36-30).  The second half featured a higher level of basketball and fewer mistakes by the home team.  Chilliwack won the game 76-67.  The Storm did defend reasonably well and controlled the defensive glass eliminating many second chance opportunities for Guildford Park.  Andrew Kornelsen had 18 first-half points and Gary McRae also had a good outing by rebounding well for a young grade ten player playing at the senior level
